The Olubadan of Ibadan, Oba Samuel Odulana Odugade 1, is dead, sources said last night.
The monarch was 101. He would have been 102 in April. The Olubadan lost consciousness before he eventually passed on, it was gathered.
Oba Odulana’s death were sketchy but he had been indisposed for some time on account of old age. One of his sons, Prof. Femi Lana, declined comment last night. Some Ibadan chiefs contacted also kept sealed lips but sources close to the family said the body of the late monarch had been taken to a morgue.
